What is not HR Role?

HR Roles and Responsibilities have to be clearly and strictly defined as the managers and Human Resources know, who is responsible for the management of employees. Sometimes, the managers tend to push HR to make the “dirty” job for them. Human Resources is not the function to fire employees, it is the job of the managers.

HR Role in the organization is about setting the basic rules and procedures for the managers as they can follow strictly defined HR Process and they ask for the consultation and the help. HR Employees have to assist at the firing of the employee, but HR Employee does not fire on his or her own.

Human Resources has to ask the managers about their needs and HR has to prepare general description of the main HR Processes including the training. The HR Role is not just about the preparation of the description, but the HR Processes has to be compliant with the labor law as the organization plays on the safe side.

HR is about the HR General Guidelines and it is the HR Role to prepare such the guidelines for the managers. The managers have to follow them and HR has to monitor the managers, that they are fully compliant with them. When the issue is found, HR has to intervene into the issue, but it cannot solve it.

The managers will always try to make Human Resources a part of their responsibilities, but HR Employees have to be strong enough not to become the victims. When Human Resources starts to play the role of the managers, it will be always that “evil HR department”, which is just firing employees and doing nothing for them.
