The recruitment process has to be measured properly as Human Resources can report the performance and efficiency of the process. The HR Managers have to define right set of the measures and KPIs to catch the most important values, which are interesting for the managers and the goal of the recruitment process – to hire a new employee quickly and at optimal costs.

The general areas for recruitment KPIs are the same for all the organizations as they expect the same result – the new hire. The most common recruitment KPIs are in the following areas:

  • Speed of the Recruitment Process
  • Quality of the Recruitment
  • Cost of the Recruitment

The general areas are the same, but the content and values have to be set individually for each organization as the needs of the managers and overall cost management differ. The HR Management has to set the right recruitment priorities on the basis of the findings and interviews with the managers in the organization. The managers are the key users of the recruitment process and their vote is very important.

The HR Managers have to set the recruitment KPIs correctly as Human Resources can report the right development in the recruitment area and the managers can trust the results. The improvement in recruitment KPIs should be visible for the managers. Always.

Human Resources has to stress the recruitment KPIs, which are fully aligned with the business and HR Strategies. The recruitment process has to respect the main objectives of Human Resources and the objectives have to be realistic and aligned with the expectations of the managers.
