Recruitment and Managers
Managers are the most important clients of the recruitment process. They have their requests and needs and the recruitment process has to deliver new employees to allow them to manage their units and departments.
The managers are very skeptical clients. They expect to express their interest in opening the job vacancy and they expect a lot of job resumes with the recommendation from Human Resources on their table just the next morning.
The managers expect Human Resources to recognize exactly the perfect job candidate without any effort from their own side. The managers do not like to write job profiles and think about the best skills and competencies mix for their new job vacancy. They just want someone to start working right now, usually.
Human Resources has to educate the managers as they can understand their own role and responsibilities in the recruitment process. Their role in the recruitment process is very important as their good job can make the whole recruitment process much quicker resulting in better satisfaction.
The managers are a key to the successful recruitment process. But they do not realize their importance in the whole activity and they blame Human Resources for not delivering the right job candidates.
The role of Human Resources in the recruitment process is about developing and teaching the managers to understand, that they have to select their new employees on their own with the support from Human Resources.
