Leadership and Partnership
The leaders act as partners for the members of the organization. They understand the needs of the members of the community and they lead the people and counsel them on a daily basis. The leadership cannot exist without the partnership as both components are necessary for the successful leadership development.
The Human Resources should take the responsibility to develop the partnership in the organization between the managers, employees and the leader of the organization. The leader has to be honest, fair and counseling. The employees have to feel the right partnership with the leader as they can follow his ideas and visions.
It is quite common case, there is a manager, who wants to become a leader of the company, but the people are not following him. Just because of the missing partnership. The manager is able to reach short term goals and has excellent performance results. But the manager leaves destroyed teams and other managers have to build the trust of the team again. The smart leader of the company never allows such a manager to grow into the position of the top manager as the organization needs cooperation more than the short term results. At least, the organization needs a balance between the results and the cooperation.
The leader is not focused just on the results of the organization, but other aspects of the relationship between the organization and employees, which helps to reach the final performance, which counts. The leader builds the partnership with the employees as they want to perform on their own, they feel motivated, recognized and respected.
The partnership is about the respect of the leader. The leader is not a king. The employees can decide not to follow the ideas of the leader and the organization is destroyed within few weeks as there no clue to keep the members together.
