The managers do not like Human Resources, generally. Human Resources is their mirror to show, what HR processes they should do and they do not do. The managers are very busy by making the operation part of the business running smoothly and they do not want to lose their time by taking care of their employees.

Human Resources has to respect the managers and their priorities. The managers have to feel comfortably. Human Resources has to ask the managers about their availability and HR Employees have to plan the activities carefully.

Human Resources has to prepare a proper HR Calendar to allow the managers to plan the activities. Human Resources has to make the analysis of the time consumption and provide the managers with the guidance and help.

Many times, Human Resources starts several activities at once and the managers are lost in the process. The managers are not experts in Human Resources Management and they need a simple explanation in examples as they can sell the activity to their employees and to build a trust in the final result.

Most managers are interested in the smooth operation of their unit and they do not need Human Resources to intervene in their own job. HR Employees should find out about their daily practice and allow to them to keep as much as possible from their own activities. Human Resources should not change everything, the current practice of the managers can be used as the HR Best Practice. The managers like simplicity and their own tools usually work for them as they want to use them.

The managers have to build their relationship with Human Resources as they can trust those strange people from HR. Human Resources has to help the managers and the recruitment of new employees is usually a good start.
