The modern organization needs to motivate its employees to grow in the organization. As the growth and career opportunities are a very limited resources as the organization with many managers and no employees cannot survive, the job titles inflate as the employees can feel unique.

The business cards show the creativity of the management team and Human Resources. The HR Analyst is not just the analyst, but it can be HR Junior Analyst, HR Senior Analyst, HR Management Analyst. All of them are the same, but the employees can feel unique as no one sees the job content.

The word “strategic” is the most misused word in job titles. The people do not distinguish between words “important” and “strategic”. The important is about the urgency and one time activity, “strategic” is about long term impact on the organization.

Many HR Managers have the job title “HR Strategic Manager”. They are just important for the organization, their job is not strategic as they do the daily operational job. The word “strategic” stands for important as the HR Strategy is not a daily job. The HR Manager influences the HR Strategy and implements the HR Strategy through the daily job, but it can be also a job of the newly joined HR Analyst.

The organization has to be careful about using the word “strategic” in the job titles. The strategy is part of the job of the top management and senior experts of the organization, the word should not be used widely as the employees can still understand, what is the strategy. Otherwise, the employees can have the “strategic coffee break.
