The HR Strategy is a document about the vision and long-term goals of Human Resources in the organization. The Leadership Development is one of the most mysterious HR Processes as the results are not visible immediately, but the Leadership Development is a long run.

The aim of the leadership development is about growing new potential leaders for the organization. It is one of the most strategic HR Processes as the organization without the leader cannot survive.

The leadership development has to be a vital part of the HR Strategy as Human Resources has a shared responsibility in finding and developing new leaders for the organization. Even the process of the identification of the new leader is quite long and difficult. The HR Strategy is a document about the future and the horizon is always about 5 years from the moment of the creation and the leadership development also works with the 5 years period.

The HR Strategy has to include the HR Action Plan for the leadership development as the top management can be sure about their successors. The Action Plan cannot be focused just on the identification of the new potential leaders for the organization, but it has to include the plan for the development as they are able to become new leaders of the organization by the end of the implementation of the HR Strategy.
