Flexible Human Resources

Human Resources is always inflexible, when you ask the managers. The managers want Human Resources to fulfill their wishes and requests and they do not care about the company wide HR policies and procedures. They always ask for a small exception from the system for their own units. But, flexible Human Resources are about different topics.

Human Resources has to constantly adjust the HR Policies and HR Processes on the basis of the external market monitoring and based on the discussions with the managers. Flexible HR has the efficient processes and procedures, which can help the managers to beat the external competition.

The flexible HR is about general HR policies, which can be adjusted to the conditions in the particular units. HR should not design the general policy, which stops many employees and managers from applying the policy to their units and their internal conditions. HR should flexibly adjust the policy that the employees from the whole organization have the equal chance to meet the conditions.

The managers tends to believe Human Resources is a slow department, not meeting their requests on time. They expect Human Resources to deliver the solution to their managerial issue several minutes from announcing it. Human Resources has to discuss with the managers as they can understand the essential needs of Human Resources and that they can understand the time needed to fulfill the mission.
