Common HR Organization
The HR Organization at large organization gets very similar as the HR Model by David Ulrich is the industry standard. Most of the HR Directors are inspired by the HR Model as they want to implement the business partnering model and nothing better was introduced so far.
The HR Departments implement the HR Model, where the most important success component is the HR Front Office as it acts as the Key Account Management for the most important clients of Human Resources, the top and middle management of the organization. The HR Front Office usually acts with all the employees, but the ordinary employees can be quickly and easily forwarded to HR Back Office to handle with their simple requests.
The HR Organization is usually divided into three main parts:
- HR Front Office
- HR Back Office
- HR Centers of Excellence
The HR Front Office acts as the sales department of Human Resources. When implementing business partnering model, the HR Front Office is the most important part as HR Front Office employees have to recognize the needs of the client and they have to provide the right solution.
The HR Back Office is mainly about the administration and all the back office staff of Human Resources. The HR Back Office is not a monkey business. The employees have to be skilled in HR Processes and their consequences as they can handle properly with the requests on their own.
The HR Centers of Excellence are the centers of know how in Human Resources. The experts are located in the centers providing the organization with state-of-the-art HR Processes and they prepare the solutions for the internal clients. The employees are organized as the bridge between HR Front Office and HR Back Office as they have to coordinate all to fulfill the request properly.
The HR Organization in smaller organization is different as the employees have to play several roles in the organization, but the HR Model can be very similar.
