Changing HR Model

The HR Managers like to draw simple cards with the HR Model shown on it. The card is usually small and it is used by the HR Employees as their value card when they visit and interact with their internal clients.

The HR Model cards are useless. The HR Model cannot be shown as the picture it has to be a living model. When the HR Employees are pushed by the piece of the paper to act, they will not follow the piece of the paper, they will follow their own manager.

Many HR Departments spend much time by drawing and writing down their values and the behavior they will value in their daily job and they can do it many times a year, without any positive result.

The HR Model is defined by the behavior and values of the HR Director. When the HR Director acts fully compliant with the HR Model he or she wants to implement, it does not have to be written on the piece of the paper.

The HR Model is the same issue as the corporate culture. The corporate culture does not have to be written in the internal policy as the employees easily follow the successful role models defined by their managers and the leaders of the organization.

Changing the HR Model is not about drawing complex and boring presentation, it can be about one simple and appealing speech of the HR Director and the change in his or her behavior. The employees are not stupid, when they see the change in the behavior, they will simply follow their leader to become successful as he or she is.
